So, as regular readers may know, I’ve written software which checks all of my titles for salesrank on a daily basis, and lets me know when it goes up. Typically, this means that there’s been a sale within the past few hours.
The interesting thing is that over the past few days, I’ve seen several jumps in salesrank which have, in the past, always indicated a sale. (I’m not talking about the +-1000 rank drift from recalculations, I’m talking about 40k+ jumps in rankings). Yet, no sale is shown in the publishing reports. This leads me to think that perhaps the reports are behind (I’m NOT talking about authorcentral.amazon.com; that’s been behind for a while, I’m talking about kdp.amazon.com) or perhaps Amazon’s doing something new.
